About Achieve Therapy Gym

Our mission is to help children and adolescents, with and without disabilities, achieve their individualized and personal goals by using date-driven and evidence based therapeutic interventions within a safe and fun environment. Our occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists and fitness trainers specialize in curating motivating activities to improve gross motor skills, fine motor skills, sensory processing and regulation skills, elicit speech and promote overall independence and confidence to carry over in daily life.

The vision of Achieve is to guide children and their caregivers in setting meaningful and personal therapeutic and/or fitness goals and equipping them with the skills to achieve those goals.

Achieve strives to provide a safe, fun, and inviting space for children and their families to engage in therapeutic activities, as well as physical fitness classes. We believe that children who may not have an interest in organized sports deserve a place to stay active, improve their physical and mental health, and socialize in a noncompetitive environment.

Our core values include inclusivity, collaboration, and using evidence-backed practices to maximize children’s and their family’s quality of life.

About The Owner

Dr. Danielle Halikman is an alumni of Thomas Jefferson University’s Doctor of Occupational Therapy program, and holds certifications in Autism & Sensory Processing Disorder Research and Animal-Assisted Therapy. She has been working as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist within Gloucester and Camden counties for 11 years, in a variety of settings including public school district and out-of-district schools, home care and early intervention. Through her personal experience of working with many families in the community, Danielle found that most families struggled to find a sensory gym or pediatric outpatient clinic in close proximity and that fits within their schedule and budget. After seeing how these factors caused a barrier in timely treatment for children with neurological, developmental and physical disabilities, she developed Achieve Pediatric Therapy and Fitness gym. Danielle also has a passion for fitness and promotes awareness of the importance for children to stay physically active for their mental and physical health.

Danielle strives for Achieve Pediatric Therapy & Fitness Gym to be an inviting space for all, and looks forward to being apart of your child’s journey to reaching their goals.
